He was named to the first team All Big12, and became the first Aggie since 1999 to be named 1st team All American.
His senior season, under the tutelage of his 3rd defensive coordinator, Von was moved to a 3-4 outside linebacker. Missing the first six games due to a high ankle sprain, Von still managed to put up impressive stats, and collect additional honors. Amassing 10.5 sacks, 17.5 tackles for a loss. He was again named to the first team All Big12, won the Butkus award (nations best LB), and was named a consensus first team All American.
