After 20 years at the collegiate level coaching in the ACC & SEC, John made the jump to the NFL coaching for five years with the Steelers and Raiders. John then transitioned into personnel and moved up-landing front office executive roles and becoming the Director of Player Personnel with the Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills. John earned a B.S. from NC A&T, conducted graduate studies in Social Psychology at UNC, and was one of the first NFL front office executives to complete the League’s Program for Managers at Stanford University in 2003. John has proven invaluable to Vanguard clients in the pre-draft process, the transitional phase entering the NFL and in counseling clients throughout their playing careers. He is based in Sarasota, FL.
