Matt received his B.A. degree in business economics from Providence College, where during his time worked for two years for the Cape Cod Baseball League. Following his graduation, Matt spent time with the Chicago Cubs in amateur scouting and player development. He has a background in professional and amateur baseball as well as sports media. Now located in Braintree, Massachusetts, Matt works at VSG within the baseball division helping with client services and operations.
